#30 – Vacation
It’s hard to be
come what may
on the last day
this gray area
between here
and there
every movement
with its purpose
with its label of last
instead of a careless toss
there is a careful folding
of what we thought to bring
and treasures found
the kneel to check for things
that one last time
feels like prayer
please, god,
let me have one more day
amen
