I’ve said this before: In my next life, I want to be an artist.
While I write and while I design and while I create…there is this sweet little homunculus in my brain who concocts brilliant sparkling ideas of ART. She’s simmering one now that involves images and words, collaboration and silence, incense and crickets. Can you see it?
No doubt Jerry Saltz could see it…or see the potential in it certainly. It’s that kind of aspiration (and hope) that led him to wax artistic about “How to Be an Artist” in a recent issue of New York Magazine. His 33 Rules are a how-to manual for anyone who, like me, fosters grand ideas for your creative efforts.
