Evidence: Mallard Duck

The Mallard Duck (Anas platyrhynchos), is the ancestor of nearly all domestic duck breeds. According to the current Migratory Bird Hunting Activity and Harvest Report, nearly 11 million ducks were “harvested” in 2015. (Hunter Activity and Harvest Report, Fish and Wildlife Service, )
