Dreammaker

dreammaker214

You cannot be a Dreammaker
sitting on your hands.
Hands cast spells
and make grand gestures.
Hands toss confetti
and pull loved ones close.

You cannot be a Dreammaker
if you are only a Wisher.
Wishers only wait,
hoping for flashes of brilliance,
and windfalls of things
they just don’t have.

You cannot be a Dreammaker
if you don’t take Risks,
toss them in the back seat
and drive a thousand miles
to grab brass rings
and fistfuls of joy.

To accomplish great things. We must take risks. Can put us in a scary position. Thank you for sharing the positive and hopeful wisdom.

    1. Exactly! I have a “vision board” in my office – dreams and goals and such – and it occurs to be often that if I don’t DO SOMETHING about them, it’s only a bulletin board with pretty pictures on it.
