As soon as I heard the tone of your voice
I knew I would change the story.
Right there, sitting on the step,
with the phone still warm against my ear,
I said out loud “It will not end this way.”
I never looked back.
I just cut a hole through the wall,
and changed the language of doors.

What a great line…”and changed the language of the doors.” No other alternate is needed!
: )
Thanks!
Excellent storytelling. I love the sense of mystery this brings.

Thank you!
Wow!
Yea, sometimes they come out that way: wow! (Thanks!)
Brilliant!
You really tapped into something and made it simple, real, and profound.
I’m in awe.
Thank you! I really like how this one turned out!
Jen,
I love how it turned out! Among the best I’ve read in a long time. I guess I need to re-follow you…haven’t seen you on my reader in a while…
Patti
