Love the turtles!
Aren’t they the best? A little shy, though – they dive right in the water if you even breathe too loudly!
Awesome photos Jen. I love Skunk cabbage! They don’t invade. They thrive where none of the others will. I enjoy watching for them everry year also.
I was reading about Skunk Cabbage this morning and I didn’t realize they “bloom.” Those little nubs that come up in very early on are blooms? Have you seen them?
I miss the turtles coming out on the lakes in Wisconsin. Every spring we’d wait for them to appear on the logs.
Love all the new little spurts of life in your photos! :-)
Aren’t they the best? It’s always amazing to watch the transformation of the woods this time of year.
Thank you so much for taking me on your walk – eye of the artist: quiet, patient, reverent,
what is seen then named by the thinker, blended together by the alchemist and presented as a bountiful breakfast for us all to enjoy !
“We” always have a good time putting these together for you! Happy you enjoyed!
