It’s hard to believe my Dad’s been gone for 16 years today. That’s the two of us, college graduation 1988. He was 52 when he died, only seven years older than I am now. It causes one to think…what more do I have left to do?
It is a beautiful tribute. Hey, you will be here for a longggg time. Who else is going to go out and play when I am 80????? Hope you are doing what you love to do today to celebrate his life.
Thanks, honey! When we’re 80 – aren’t you comin’ to smoke and drink whiskey in the desert?
So sad that you lost your dad at the age of 52, he was so young.
However, he left you some great lessons to follow, wise man that he was.
Thanks, Barb. You know, I miss him every day…but then again. he’s here with me every day…

Both wonderful pieces of advice. Your Dad sounds like a very special person – how lucky you are to have known him. :-) (Though they never really leave us)
Very lucky to have known him – and how true that they never really leave us!
Lovely photo, lovely tribute.
You are a very lucky daughter to have such a nourishing and loving relationship with your father.
It has certainly held me up through the years – the love, the advice. Lucky for sure! : )
great advice from a great Dad!
Thanks, Joss. : )
