*Sunday in the Park

Winter Sunset

“And I learned what is obvious to a child. That life is simply a collection of little lives, each lived one day at a time. That each day should be spent finding beauty in flowers and poetry and talking to animals. That a day spent with dreaming and sunsets and refreshing breezes cannot be bettered. But most of all, I learned that life is about sitting on benches next to ancient creeks…and sometimes, on good days, for falling in love.”

  1. You have got it so right and I am reminded of this everytime I see my 10 month old. He is always full of sunshine and happiness – one couldn;t possibly be mad at anything on seeing his 2-toothed smile and gurgles. And I do believe he is the ideal we should all live upto – to take each and every moment as wondrous and cherish each one.

  2. what a brilliant observation, he articulates it so well – thanks for sharing that one, jen – and a sumptuous sunset to go along with it (i know exactly where that is, too!) makes it a little easier to face the freezing rain we’re getting today!

  3. Thank you! thank you! An exquisite sunset – you were there and brought it home to share. And, served with a delicious, well chosen ‘side dish’ of wise words…You’re gifts are a blessing for us all!
