Ten days ago, I was sitting at my desk reflecting on a dream about dolphins and a horoscope that challenged, “Don’t…stir up your righteous anger at how life refuses to conform to your specifications…open your heart to the experiment of blending your energy with life’s unpredictable flow.”
A fitting challenge, as I was about to embark on a week-long trek to and across West Texas.
While I was not necessarily harboring “righteous anger,” I always err on the side of “be prepared” when it comes to travel. My four active to-do lists would attest to that!
But there is a moment when you must let go and trust the fact that the house will not burn down, you can buy what you forget to pack, the plane will not crash, and your luggage will not divert to Duluth.
And so it was that I left my desk at 3:15 a.m. on Friday, October 29th—the to-do lists abandoned on the dining room table…
