Ask and Ye Shall Receive

I am the first to admit, I struggle with the concept of The Secret. Just ask and there it is? State your intentions and you get them?

But there are books written about this, right? And folks talk about it all the time…the secret, the laws of attraction, vision mapping.

I’m sorry, I’m just not there yet. But I’m working on it.

Today, for example, I found myself begrudgingly wandering in a big box store looking for some very-important art supplies. I wandered up and down the aisles thinking “what a waste of time.” And then I heard myself!

So, I practiced.

“I will find what I am looking for.”
“I WILL find what I am looking for.”
“I will FIND what I am looking for.”

OK, I was a little grumbly about it.

Maybe that’s why I did not find the plaster of Paris. But as I turned and headed towards the door, I found it.

Not the “it” I came in for, but the other “it”…the can of hot pink (a.k.a. Watermelon) spray-paint I’d been searching for since March!
